KARL LAGERFELD, the legendary man from the fashion industry. Not only Karl is famous on his photography, who basically shoot all the Chanel and Fendi campaigns himself, he is also talented on directing his own fashion short film, showing the elegancy of the brand Chanel and the founder Mademoiselle Coco Chanel.
In the latest Fall 2013 Chanel film 'Women only' features models such as Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell and Lindsey Wixson, watching a Karl production in a cinema, dressed head to toe in Chanel. It may sound normal, but this is one surreal piece of cinema with Karl Lagerfeld starring as a bodyguard, creepy matrons patrolling the 'girls only cinema,' girls whispering, topped off with a haunting soundtrack. Cara clutches a Karl Lagerfeld doll in her lap and tells us 'you have to be in control.' But don't worry it doesn't turn into a model slasher like you might expect, it ends with the mysterious Karl production projected onto the screen.
To celebrate 100 years after Gabrielle Chanel opened her first store in Deauville, France in May 2013 . To commemorate a century's success, Karl Lagerfeld has created this short film, featuring actress Keira Knightley as Coco Chanel alongside other stars of screen and catwalk including Clotilde Hesme, Stella Tennant, Lindsey Wixon, Jamie Bochert, Caroline de Maigret, Lady Amanda Harlech and her daughterTallulah, as well as Baptiste Giabiconi, Sébastien Jondeau, Jake Davis and Brad Kroenig with his son Hudson.
p.s. I seriously cannot take my eyes off the screen while watching the two short films. How about you?
